Hello, I'm new and need some really good addvice...My boyfriend was caught send an e-mail to a so called friend that was a women and it was sexual....I confronted him and he stated that he was only joking with her....I think he would have cheated with her if he wasn't caught....He thinks that as long as nothing is going on sexually he should still be able to have contact with old friends....What do you think????

If it was just "contact" with old friends why would it have to be sexual? If the e-mail was 'Hey how ya doing' type e-mail that makes sense but anything more is not joking and was probably not funny. Was the e-mail graphic enough for you to suspect that he would cheat if you didnt catch him?

well...yes...I told him to put himself in my place and would he have taken it for a joke and he stated no.....but the trust is gone...I think I was more hurt than angry.

Well he didnt cheat right? So maybe giving up all trust right away is too much. Maybe you two need time apart? If he did something like that and said that he would get mad if you did it then ask him why he did it. If he cares maybe he will be honest and try to change from not doing things like that. Dont give up hope that people can fix things in life. My girlfriend recently confessed to cheating with a guy (we are both girls) and I still believe that in my heart she can change one day. Dont give up hope and be open and honest with him.
