That is a crazy story. I read of a case like this locally (australia) maybe about 2 years ago. A guy was paying child support to his ex wife so x amount of years and found out that it was never his child. He took the mother to court and sued for all previous expenses that the guy spent on that girl. Although he loved the girl like his own he was more upset at the mother and i believe its still in court to date.
What do i think of your situation? I couldnt imagine anything worse! First you have to go through the pain of a cheating wife but then you had to relive it and get told that the child that is yours may not be? I couldnt imagine how you felt.
You are very fortunate in a way you have a LOYAL and LOVING wife now with great kids. I dont know what to suggest for your situation though.. :(
KARMA is a ***** and i honestly hope that she is unhappy for the rest of her years to come!
All the best mate.

I was told that if a woman conceives a child out of wedlock, the man married to her is the legal responsible person for that child anyway.
I don't think that's the case anymore, and I doubt it was the case back then, with blood (and now DNA) tests. If that state has antiquated laws like that on the books (the woman's husband is considered the child's father, no matter what) then contact your state legislators to attempt to have that law changed. In New York, we have presumptive paternity - you have to disprove paternity, even if you're married, but with blood and DNA testing, that should be simple enough. Unless the judge is a complete a-hole.
I hope your ex is very unhappy for the rest of her life. I'm sure my ex isn't happy (as I've posted in other places here, she never was,) but that's not my problem anymore.
Finally, if you definitely don't want any more kids, then have a vasectomy. I did in 2002. It was covered by my health plan, and just cost me my $10 co-pay (less than a box of condoms.) I have a loyal lady friend now, and (if I may brag) the sex is beyond superb.
