Respectful Help
for Those Addicted to Porn
The Covenant Eyes ProgramContinued
from above...
Many find that
overcoming sin and temptation is virtually impossible on their
own. Developing a relationship with another person is the best
way of obtaining help. When you sign up for The Covenant Eyes
Program, you are asked to provide the names of two
"Accountability Partners" (only one is required, but we
recommend two).
An "Accountability Partner" is simply a person with whom you
have an accountable relationship. Ask a friend, spouse, pastor,
or counselor to be your Partner. Then, on a weekly, bi-weekly,
or monthly basis, they will receive an accountability log which
will be a record of all of the sites you visited, including the
web addresses and amount of time you were on the Internet. This
log is e-mailed to your Accountability Partner.
The Covenant Eyes Program is maintained on computers at the
corporate headquarters in Corunna, MI. Therefore, the history of
sites visited by the member can not be erased (though they can
be viewed confidentially over the Internet by the user).

Pornography's
Effects on Adults and Children
By VICTOR B. CLINE, Ph.D.
obscenitycrimes.org
Dr. Victor
Kline, a clinical psychologist at the University of Utah, has
interviewed and treated over 200 sex offenders. He released a
study describing the four-step process of a person's addiction
to pornography.
This article discusses defining
pornography and obscenity. The effects on adults, porn
addiction, escalation, desensitization, acting out sexually,
sexual deviations are learned behaviors, violent and non-violent
pornography, the effects on children and other considerations of
porn.
Dr. Victor Kline states "In
my clinical practice, I have treated both children and adults
who have been unequivocally and repeatedly injured by exposure
to pornography... individuals should be made aware of the health
hazards involved. This kind of knowledge is most important for
parents, since most sexual and pornographic addictions begin in
middle childhood or adolescence, most of the time without the
parents' awareness or the children have an insufficient
understanding of the risks involved."

“Over here I have a life. Oh sure, it’s a good

house, but it’s far from being a home. It’s full of heartbreak. It’s full of
hopelessness. My heart feels betrayed, and I feel alone..."
